WHAT PEOPLE SAY

Prestat Truffles were a favourite of Roald Dahl – the author Charlie and the Chocolate Factory immortalized in the family film Willy Wonka.

He even wrote a whole novel, My Uncle Oswald, based around the qualities of Prestat “the great chocolatiers of Oxford Street, London” whose truffles sit alongside “fine Romanée Conti and pomegranate seeds, in having powerful rejuvenative properties”.

In his autobiographical recipe book “Memories of Gypsy Corner”, he writes “ I also adore so-called truffles as Prestat makes them.”
