Chocolate Chili Con Carne
A delicious spicy Mexican dish which is made extra special by the addition of Prestat chocolate!
Ingredients
- 225g canned red kidney beans
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 medium sized onions sliced into rings
- 450g minced beef
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1-3 small green chilies
- 400gf canned tomatoes
- 25g Prestat plain chocolate
- 2 Tbsp of water
- A handful of chopped parsle
- Salt
Instruction
- Heat the olive oil in a casserole, when it reaches a medium heat add the onion rings and stir until soft
- Now increase the heat add the mince and cook until brown; then lower the heat again and add the cinnamon
- Cut open the chilies and remove the seeds; then chop them finely
- Add the chillies, kidney beans and tomatoes to the mince
- Melt the chocolate in a bowl over a pan of boiling water
- Now stir the chocolate into the meat mixture and season to taste with salt
- Cover the pan and allow to simmer for 1 hour and just before serving stir in the parsley
