How we Make Chocolate

Today we associate chocolate with bars and filled chocolates but as you have seen, these products only emerged relatively recently. Chocolate was a drink for most of its history, yet though we saw some changes in the 19th Century which turned this chocolate into the bars that we know and love today, the early stages of processing chocolate has remained relatively untouched for thousands of years. Essentially, cacao beans, still have to be carefully taken from the trees and processed by hand.
