Prestat at Heal’s2300
196 Tottenham Court Road is a legendary address for people who appreciate design and craft. It is the home of Heal and Sons Ltd, known to us simply as Heal’s. It has been trading at this address since 1818 with the beautiful ethos that “Nothing Needs Be Ugly”. How true to their word they have been for nearly 200 years.
This is the store that that first exhibited Picasso, Matisse and Modigliani. The shop floor that displayed legends such as Miles Van Der Roche, Marcel Brewer and Maxwell Fry. The location of the first meeting between Virginia Wolf and Aldous Huxley. The store that is a great supporter of the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust (QEST) supporting traditional British Craft.
The store that is now hosting the first Pop-Up location for Prestat, London’s finest chocolatier since 1902. Full of pretty boxes designed by Kitty Arden, housed in a jewel like shop designed by Liza Campbell. “Nothing Needs be Ugly” particularly when everything is chocolate, “truffley” and delicious. And, it may I add, feasted on by royalty and nobility, stars of stage and screen and simple “adored’ by Roald Dahl the great master writer of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”. Visit us soon, you won’t be disappointed.
